The alleged yakuza connections between Japan's talent agencies, who have overseas offices and business deals, has caught the attention of the US government, which forbids interaction or profit sharing with yakuza associates.

US government officials would not comment on the record but said on background, “It's a subject of concern and we are discussing it on several levels.”
